Carlos Ray Wright, 77, of Greenville, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the Legends Health Care of Greenville.  A memorial service is planned for Friday, October 14, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. John Shasteen officiating.  Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Wright was born May 10, 1934 in Dallas, Texas to Carl and Hazel Bandy Wright.  He married Ramona Dunlap on January 30, 1954 in Greenville.  Mr. Wright served his country in the U. S. Army.  He owned Wright’s Air Conditioning for 50 years.  He was a member of Crestview Christian Church.  As a young boy he loved to play sports and as he grew, he became an avid spectator.  He loved to fish, but his hobby was oil painting, and his interest was in Western Art and visiting museums, and this led to his love for travel.

Survivors include his wife; son, Larry Wright; brother, Jimmy Wright; sister-in-law, Lavisa Dunlap; five nieces and nephews and numerous wonderful friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
