Willie Carmen Pitts, 91, of Campbell, died Saturday, December 29, 2007, at her home. Funeral services will be Monday, December 31, 2007, at 2:00 PM at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. Joel Arnold officiating. Burial will be Caney Cemetery.
Mrs. Pitts was born in Eric, Oklahoma on August 20, 1916, the daughter of Milton and Mary Ester Brummitt Lee. On January 11, 1941, in Hunt County, she married G. W. "Baldy" Pitts. She was a retired seamstress and member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Jones of Greenville; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Pitts of Campbell; Grandson and his wife, Jason and Cynthia Pitts of Greenville; granddaughters and their husbands, D'Ann and Jerry Rodaway of Lone Oak, Jill and Jacob Blanchard of Greenville, and Julie and Clent Goldston of Greenville; great-grandchildren, Lauren Lamb, Drew Rodaway, Brook Rodaway, Jace Kilmer, Jackson Pitts, Whitney Goldston, Kylie Goldston and Jolie Goldston; great-great-grandchild, Hanna Morrison; and a special caretaker, Catalina Ramos. Mrs. Pitts was preceded in death by her husband, G. W. "Baldy" Pitts, January 16, 2006; son, Billy Ray Pitts, December 17, 2006; and her parents.
Serving as pallbearers will be Curtis Fuller, Lance Banks, Steve Angell, Jay Lynn Gore, Don Zachery and Drew Rodaway. Honorary pallbearer will be Bob Greaves.
