"My most sincere concern for Paul's family and closest friends...
I knew Paul from grade school through high school, and our interests always revolved around one thing...ball of one kind or another. Paul was quiet, almost shy, but he was a fine leader. About the only thing that could get him rankled was whining. When mud came over our shoe tops or the temperature soared over 100, whiners such as I always began complaining. Paul would quickly take up the policeman's role, making it clear that whining wouldn't be tolerated...and he enforced it. Paul was a superb athlete...and I will remember him as my friend."
