Robert CouchBriscoe

Robert Couch Briscoe, 88, of Greenville, died Sunday, July 10, 2011, at Briarcliff Health Center.  Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 14, 2011, in Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Gordon Grammer and Leon Goff officiating.  Interment will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.

Mr. Briscoe was born in Powderly, Texas on August 2, 1922.  He was the son of William Briscoe and Lillie Mae Couch Briscoe.  He married Aline Adams on April 26, 1947, in Paris, Texas.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and a member of the Southside Church of Christ.  Mr. Briscoe was retired from Raytheon as a flight line supervisor.

He is survived by his daughter, Bobbie Leinart and her husband, Jerry of Greenville; sisters, Mabel Martin of Paris and Amanda Edney of Garland; and several grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife in 2010; a son; four sisters; and one brother.
