osefina B. Guerra passed away on May 14, 2011 in Jacksonville, Florida. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 22nd at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville with Rev. Larry Allgood officiating.
Born in Pharr, Texas, August 2, 1916, she was the daughter of Alonso and Beatrice (Gonzalez) Benavidez. She married the late Eduardo Guerra on September 31, 1934 in Edinburg, Tx. She was a homemaker and was a member of Temple Bethel Assembly of God Church in Pharr.
Survivors include her children Eduardo Guerra and wife Janet Marie of Jacksonville, Florida, Gilberto A. Guerra and wife Beatrice of Joshua, Texas, Ricardo Guerra and wife Concepcion of Oklahoma City, Carlos Guerra and wife Patricia of Buena Park, Calif., and Rosalinda Guerra Harris and husband Laurance of Greenville; sister Olivia B. Martinez of Pharr, Tx; brothers Erasmo Benavidez of McAllen, Tx and Alonso Benavidez of Royse City; sisters Elva Mendiola of McAllen, Tx, Elisena Vasquez of San Juan, Tx., and Jane Garza of Pharr, Tx; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Emma Benavidez, and brothers Amadeo G. Benavidez and Adolfo Benavidez.
