Martha BellShaw

Martha Bell Shaw, 89, of Greenville passed away January 26, 2011 at her residence.  Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at North Baptist Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.  Rev. Kelley Reagan will officiate.  Interment will follow at Merit Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Shaw was born August 14, 1921 in Plano to James Harbard and Ethel Mae Rice Smith.  On September 15, 1938, she married Rev. S. E. Shaw in Greenville.  She was a homemaker and was a member of North Baptist Church.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Her survivors include her son Larry Shaw and wife Sharon of Greenville; daughter Martha Jean Brumit and husband Garland of Greenville; son-in-law Dick Dickinson of Pueblo, Colorado; sister Billie Jo Martin of Greenville; grandson James Hicks of Greenville; granddaughters Sherrie Jackson and husband Ronnie of Greenville, Carol Ann Ridings of Greenville, Michelle Greil and husband Kevin of Frisco and Lisa Williams of Frisco; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter Judia Dickinson, brother T. L. Smith and sister Dorothy Wright.

Pallbearers will be grandson James Hicks; great-grandsons Austin Hicks, Brian Ridings, Justin Ridings, Hayden Jackson, Dylan Hicks, Karsten Greil; and grandsons-in-law Ronnie Jackson and Kevin Greil.  Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Strayhorn, Clyde Nettles, David Roberts, and Grady Jones.
