"Steve,
I was going through holiday cards. I send you mom one every year. It was our way of keeping Susie in our lives too. This was the first year that I didn't hear from your mom.
It all started when Susie lived with us in Dallas. Susie was an inspiration to me and I became in engineer and an Olympic swimmer.
Your mom was a friend to me growing up and always kept up on my swimming, school, and my growing up and becoming a mom.
I will miss her and will miss sending my 'mothers day cards' and holiday cards.
she always told me how you were doing and where you were and if you were visiting.
With deepest sympathies and with sadness of not being able to share with her anymore...
lisa wen"
