"I am very saddened by this loss, and my prayers are with the Hicks family. I grew up three doors down from the Hicks family in San Antonio, and many of my childhood memories include them. I lost my father at a young age, and Mr. & Mrs. Hicks were always there for me and my family. Whether it was camping, going to the coast or just barbequing....we were included. I could take pages recalling those happy memories. I will always be grateful to Mrs. Hicks for opening her heart and home to me."

"I am so sorry for your loss. Your Mom was a special lady. I loved getting her baked goodies at Christmas and I still have the scissor holder she made hanging on my fridge. I will have your family in my thoughts during this difficult time."
