Roger GlenMize

Roger Glen Mize, 63, of Wills Point passed away June 6, 2010 at Medical City in Dallas.  Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Ballard officiating.  A Masonic & Military graveside will follow at Caddo Mills I.O. O. F. Cemetery. 

Roger was born June 13, 1946 in Greenville to Harvey L., Sr. and Viola Lowe Mize.  On

May 12, 1984, he married Brenda K. Underwood in Greenville.  He was a retired air craft mechanical supervisor from Raytheon.  He was a member of  the House of Prayer, Scyene #295 Masonic Lodge, V.F.W.-West Tawakoni, Scottish Rite – Hella Temple, and Fisherman’s Lodge #191-West Tawakoni.

His survivor include his wife of Wills Point; mother of Greenville; sons Rodney and Jackie Mize of Commerce, Leslie Mize and wife Amanda of Quinlan, Tracey Mize of Bonham, and Chris DeWeese of Wills Point; daughters Lavanna Self and husband Ken of Sulphur Springs and Angela Mahaney and husband Bryan of Quinlan; brothers Harvey Mize and wife Jeanie of Caddo Mills, Milton Mize and wife Wanda of Garland, David Mize and wife Theresa of Cash, Sam Mize and wife Pattie of Rockwall, Anthony Mize and wife Cathy of Halleyville, Alabama, and Keith Mize and wife Lisa of Diana; sisters Nell Smith and husband Ralph of DeSoto, Evelyn Elliott and husband Lee of Mesquite, Wilma Mize and Brenda Heath of Greenville; brother-in-law Michael Sanders; 21 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and sister Gloria Janett Mize Sanders. 

Pallbearers will be Jack Mize, Randy Mize, Jeff Mize, Jason Sanders, Rich Sanders, and B. J. Hatley.
