Mike Strawn, 57, of Melissa (formerly of Greenville) passed away May 24, 2010 at Medical Center of McKinney.  Services will be at 3:00 PM Friday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Jack Howard officiating.  Interment will follow at Caddo Mills I.O.O.F. Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Mike was born May 30, 1952 in Gainesville, Texas to J. Frank and Gladys Koger Strawn.  On March 9, 1973, he married Beverly Joyce Tatom in Greenville.  He worked in retail management and was a member of  the Church of Christ faith.

His survivors include his wife of Melissa; mother Gladys Owens of Greenville; children William Michael Strawn and wife Shelley of Farmersville, Aimy Hellen Rhyne an husband Jason of Princeton, and Bradley Thomas Strawn of Wylie; brother “Buddy” Strawn of Arlington; sisters Marie Fairless of Bedford and Sharon Hale of Greenville; and grandchildren Chase Thomas Strawn of Wylie, Cooper Lynn Strawn of Farmersville, and Graycin Lee Strawn of Farmersville.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother James Strawn.

Pallbearers will be Will Strawn, Brad Strawn, Gary Hale, Jason Rhyne, Ken Hale, and

Rick Pickard.

The family request memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Foundation.
