Charlotte Ann Dowler, 68, of Greenville, died Monday, April 5, 2010 in Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, April 9, 2010, at Etter Lake Cemetery with Rev. Roger Ratliff officiating, under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dowler was born in Greenville on July 23, 1942. She was the daughter of W. E. and Marie Barker Baise. She married Gene Simpson who preceded her in death in 1971. She married James E. Dowler, March 31, 1972 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 2000. She was a homemaker and member of Van Sickle Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Marie Baise Kelly; daughters, Mellanie Hargrove, husband Tommy and children Kaylee and Kyle, Misty Patterson, husband Bill and children Mia and Haylee; son, Mike Simpson, wife Lisa and children Sydney, Michael, Garrett, Kendria and Alexis; step-daughters Debbie Young, husband Phil and children Jeremy, Cami and Tiffany and Cynthia Burns and children, Ronnie and Vickie; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands; father, W. E. Baise in 1999, and grandson, Eric.
