Hazel Yeary Harthcock, 92, of Greenville passed away on October 7, 2009 at Briarcliff Nursing Center.  Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin McDaniel officiating.  Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park.  Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time on Saturday.

 

Mrs. Harthcock was born on March 2, 1917 in Hunt County to Cowan and Addie Mae Burke Yeary. On September 16, 1939, she married John W. Harthcock in Greenville.  He preceded her in death on October 29, 1974.  She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Greenville. 

 

Her survivors include three daughters, Anna Harris and husband Bill of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Nancy Wright and husband Johnie of Dublin, Texas and Sarah Blackstock and husband Gary of Roswell, Georgia; one sister Katherine Yeary of Greenville; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Lena Mae Pearce and Mattie Lou Williams; brother Ray Yeary; infant brother; and infant granddaughter Kimberly Ann Wright.

 

Johnie Wright, Bill Harris, Will Harris, Joe Harris, Ray Love, Jr., and John Matthew Blackstock will serve as pallbearers.
