Terry Wayne Burden Sr., 74, of Campbell, Texas, passed away peacefully at his residence on October 11, 2026, surrounded by the memories and love of those closest to him.

Terry was born on August 21, 1952, in Panama, to Lawrence Burden and Leola Fry. On July 20, 1984, he married Syvilla Krotz in Pasadena, Texas, beginning a marriage that would span more than four decades. He was a devoted husband, a beloved father, and a man whose presence left a lasting impression on the people fortunate enough to know him. Throughout his career, he worked as a service manager.

Terry was many things to many people, but he was never someone easily forgotten. He could be stubborn, strong-willed, and, as his family would readily admit, a pain in the butt at times. But those same qualities were part of what made him uniquely himself. Beneath that stubborn exterior was a man who was loved deeply by his family. He brought his own personality, humor, and spirit into their lives, leaving behind memories that will continue to be cherished for years to come.

Above all, Terry was a husband and father. His family will remember him not only for who he was, but for the moments they shared, the stories they will continue to tell, and the love that remains even in his absence. Though his passing leaves a profound sadness, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Syvilla Burden; his sons, Eric Burden and Terry Burden Jr.; and other loving family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A service honoring Terry’s life will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Prairie Valley Baptist Church at 10:00 A.M.  Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
