John William Wassum, Age 35, of Quinlan passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.  Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at Etter Lake Cemetery with Rev. Wally Williams officiating.  Visitation will be from Noon until service time Thursday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

Mr. Wassum was born on July 2, 1973 in Dallas to John Frederick and Millie Feldpausch Wassum.  On March 20, 2008, he married Bonni Jo Kyles in Wills Point.  He was the owner of a heating and air conditioning business. 

His survivors include his wife, Bonni Wassum of Quinlan; mother Millie Wassum of Quinlan; son John Wassum, Jr. of Quinlan; daughters Mary Elizabeth Wassum of Quinlan; step-daughter Destiny Nicole Kyles of Quinlan; and brother Kenny P. Wassum of Quinlan.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Frederick Wassum and Sister Mary Elizabeth Wassum.

Billy Crane, Steve Whitley, Kevin McClain, and Mark Campbell will serve as pallbearers.
