Matthew David Dawson, of Greenville, went to be with his Lord Jesus on June 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving parents and loved ones. A private family graveside service will be held at Brigham Cemetery in Campbell, Texas with Mr. Jeremy Jones officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Matthew was born on August 15, 2003, in Rowlett, Texas to David Dawson and Sherri Dawson. Matthew loved Snoopy and Bible cartoons. Matthew David was an extraordinary and beautiful son who loved his parents dearly and was a special blessing to all who knew and loved him. Matthew was courageous, strong, loving, and an inspiration to those who knew him. Time and again he faced challenges and conquered them all. His passing has left a void in our hearts but we are rejoicing in Matthew’s victory. Because Jesus lives, we know that we will see his handsome face again.
Matthew is survived by his parents David and Sherri Dawson, his grandmother Joyce Dawson, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Matthew is preceded in death by his grandparents Edwin and Edna Schumacher and grandfather Clyde Dawson.
