Loyd Elliott "Bubba" Parrish, 86, of Campbell, died Wednesday, February 18, 2009, in Rockwall Nursing Center. Memorial services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 22, 2009, in Coker-Mathews Chapel with Stephen McCrory officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Parrish was born in Dallas, Texas, March 25, 1922, the son of Lee Robert and Mammie Tillery Parrish. On May 29, 1942, he married Helen Lutz in Dallas. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corp during World War II. Mr. Parrish was a supervisor for 20 years for John E. Mitchell Manufacturing and retired from Rubbermaid.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Parrish of Campbell; son, Don Parrish of Campbell; daughter, Carolyn Parrish Faulkenbury of Campbell; sister, Rita Hughes of Forney; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
