Wanda Jean Jones, 84, of Quitman, passed away on June 13, 2022, at her residence. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 18, 2022, at House of Prayer church in Greenville, at 10: 00 AM with Reuben Gohn officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hooker Cemetery in Rains County. Visitation will be Friday night from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Wanda was born on June 17, 1937, in Weiland, Texas to Eugene Kenneth Norfleet and Beulah Mize Norfleet. Wanda married W.D. Jones on January 12, 1956, in Rockwall, Texas. Wanda was retired from Safeway’s Grocery Store and worked for Braum’s for a while.
Wanda is survived by sons Stephen Jones, James Jones & wife Lisa, daughters Carrie Hopkins & husband Ron, Diane Roman, sister Sharon Valdes, brothers Rueben Gohn, Willard Gohn, grandchildren Jeff Roman, Josh Roman, Melissa Richarde, Steve Jones, Barry Jones, Stephanie Vittrup, Randy Jones, Ethan Jones and Tracy Jones and special caregiver Keisha Jones.
Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, parents and son Jerry Jones.
Pallbearers will be James Jones, Ethan Jones, Tracy Jones, Austin Jones, Barry Jones, Steven Jones and Sawyer Griffith.
