John A. Beard, 85, of Whitewright, Texas, passed away on May 11, 2022, in Denison, Texas. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Beard was born March 16, 1937, in Sherman, Texas to Fred Madison Beard and Lilla Mae Grant. He married Sandy Flanagan on March 23, 1989, in Collin County, Texas. He retired after 32 years with Collins Radio as a Machine Operator, Inspector and Sheet Metal Supervisor and Facilator.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Beard; daughters, Cathy Beard, Kristi Camblin, Laura Himes, Kristie Oliver and Charissa Harris; brother, Ron Beard; sister, Martha Chadwick; six grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, parents, three brothers, two sisters, and one granddaughter.
