Ava Ruth Humphreys Hise went to be with her Lord on January 27, 2022, at her home.
She was born July 14, 1934, in Greenville to Johnse and Fannie Lee Todd Humphreys. She married Kenneth Ray Hise on September 3, 1965. She was of the Baptist faith, belonging to Peniel Baptist Church.
Ruth worked for E-Systems for 40 years, belonged to the Local Union 967, was President of Retirees, and held other positions in Regular Union and was a lifelong Democrat.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, are her son, Robert Lee Jumper, stepsons, Rickey Hise and wife, Ann, and Harold Hise; stepdaughter, Vickie Hackney and husband, Jack; sister, Barbara Choate; grandsons, Matthew Hise, Brad Hise and Scott Hise; granddaughter, Ashley McCasland, Amber Edgington, Missena Clites, Melissa Duncan, Tayelor Pierce, and Kelsey Hise.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, parents, and brothers, Charles Harris and Benny Joe Humphreys.
A memorial service will be Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Samuel Glenn officiating.
