Jessie Jewel Rogers, l03, died the morning of December l, 2008 at Briarcliff Health Center. Services will be at Coker-Matehws Chapel,Wednesday, December 3rd at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Paul Gould officiating. Burial is in East Mount Cemetery.
Jessie was born October 31, l905 in Aleene, Arkansas to Thomas A. and Ara Alice Harrell Lewis. She married Doyle N. Rogers on January 26, l936, and was a homemaker and member of the Wesley United Methodist Church since l9l7.
Survivors are nephew & caretaker, Joe T. Rogers and wife Hattye of Terrell, step-grandchildren, Phil Page of Finland,Beverly Lampson & husband Frank of Sugarland, Brian Lampson, Michael Lampson, Christopher Lampson, Kevin Lampson, great-nephews, Craig Hughes and wife Lynn of Houston, Clay Hughes & wife Carol of Houston, great-nieces, Mimi Self Foster, great-great-nephews, Bryan Hughes, Blake Hughes, Wesley Hughes , great-great-nieces, Michelle Hughes and Jaime Foster, and other nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by Husband in l99l, parents, sisters, Evelyn Self, LaVena Abicht, LaNita Moore and Robbie Lee Lewis, brothers, Allen Harrell Lewis and Thomas Edwin Lewis, nephew, Joe M. Self and niece, Helen Moore Hughes.
