Ronald Wayne McAbee, age 71, of Greenville, Texas, entered into heavenly rest on Friday night, October 29, 2021, at the Richardson Methodist Hospital in Richardson, Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Steven McAbee, Rev. Adam McAbee and Dr. Chet Haney officiating. Burial will follow at Simmons Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ronnie was born on March 28, 1950 in Greenville, Texas. He was the son of W.D. “Dub” McAbee and Margrett Dunn.
He married Brenda Tompkins on December 30, 1972 in Greenville Texas. Brenda survives him today with his son, Steven and wife Tammie McAbee of Josphine, Texas, son Adam and wife Kristen McAbee of Little Elm, Texas.
12 Grandchildren: Brianna and husband Ben Warner of Denver, Colorado, Taylor “Suzzie” Nash, Leighanna McAbee and her fiancé Tucker Walker, Julianna McAbee, Isaiah McAbee, Eliakim McAbee, Jeremiah McAbee, Mikaiah McAbee all of Josephine, Texas, Taylor McAbee, Hayley McAbee, Levi McAbee and Aiden McAbee all of Little Elm, Texas.
He is also survived by 2 Great Grandchildren: Wesson and Rilynn Nash of Josephine, Texas. Ronnie is survived by many other loving nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles most of whom live in Caddo Mills, Texas.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Randy Gentry, his sister Sandra Jindra, sister Margie Gentry and a very special aunt and uncle Velma and Wilbern Bost.
