Phillip Ray Bennett, 73, of Cumby, Texas passed away on July 5, 2021, at the Hunt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Pastor Zach Stiefel officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
Phillip was born July 24, 1947, in Vernon, Texas to R. O. and Fay McCubbin Bennett. He married Delores Day on October 24, 2003, in Greenville, Texas. He worked for American Legend Aircraft.
He is survived by his daughters, Marcie Ward, Valarie Trousdale and husband, Mike; sister, Carolyn Kerr and husband, Johnny; and grandchildren, Dustin Trousdale and wife, Christina, Amanda Flores and husband, Manny, William Trousdale, Ryan Ward and Shannon Ward; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife and parents.
