On December 30, 2020, Beverly Jackson Loss went to be with her Lord and Savior, and reunite with her loved ones who predeceased her.  Beverly was born in Chicago and went to school in the suburbs.

She worked in banking and fiancé as Treasurer of two Savings and Loan Associations.  She went on to be the first female auditor at Morton Norwich Corp. in Chicago.  While auditing the Morton Salt Plant in New Jersey she met Kenneth R. Loss who was to become her husband.  He was a widower with two small children.  They were married on July 4, 1982 and she became the instant mother of Ryan and Jessica.  The corporate office of Morton Norwich had a financial controller opportunity and transferred her to New Jersey.  In 1987 Dow Chemical bought the company where she was working and transferred her to Greenville, Texas as Financial Controller of that facility and one in Greenville, SC.  When Dow Chemical decided to relocate to Ohio, Beverly’s family did not want to leave Texas. She commuted from her Wolfe City home to Dow assignments in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.  She also had assignments with US Department of Commerce, FEMA, Deloitte & Touche and SC Johnson.  When her husband had by-pass surgery in 2001 she had to spend more time at home and decided to enroll in Texas A&M – Commerce to pursue a second Bachelors and Masters Degree.  She became a Licensed Master Social Worker and worked part-time at the Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville, TX and serves at Governor Abbott’s request on the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiner’s.

Beverly has been very active in the community.  She is a Charter Member, Past President and Rotarian of the year of the Greenville Daybreak Rotary Club and has maintained perfect attendance for all the years the club has been in existence.  She served as Assistant Governor and Ambassador for Rotary District 5810 escorting a group study exchange to South Korea.  She was the Chairman of the U. S. Postal Advisory Board for all the 754xx zip codes, served on the Salvation Army Board, was a CASA Volunteer in Fannin County, IRS Tax Aide and National Association of Social Worker Board member.  She is a past President of the Wolfe City Economic Development Council and a member of the Wolfe City Educational Foundation Board, Wolfe City Library Board, Greenville Landmark Board and is a North Central Texas Council of Governments Ombudsman and Benefits Counselor.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kenneth Loss, son, Ryan Loss and wife, Lindsey, daughter, Jessica Rogers and husband, Damian, along with grandchildren, Bryanna, Hunter, Nicholas, Logan, Slayde, Hayden, Bryson and Jaxon.  Also, niece, Kristie Szaflarski, cousins, Maryse and Frank Tetard, Francine and Giles Chavatte, Bernadette Garnotel, Christian and Marie Garnotel, Herve and Bernadette Garnotel, Miguel and Josiane Garnotel, Susan Edna Berent and fur babies, Mimi, Bob and Benji.

Beverly was predeceased by her mother, Lucienne, father, Robert, brother, Robert, nephew, Kevin and brother-in-law, Karol Szaflarski.
