Dennis Wayne Auvenshine of Merit passed away on May 13, 2007 at Kindred Hospital of White Rock in Dallas. Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 7 P.M. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Loren Everett. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery in Dresden, Tennessee.
Mr. Auvenshine was born on February 21, 1947 in Martin, Tennessee to C.D. Auvenshine and Elaine Underwood. He married Norma Choate on August 30, 1986 in Dallas, Texas. He was a carpenter and a member of Mineral Heights Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Auvenshine of Merit, mother, Elaine Auvenshine of Dresden, TN, son, Shawn Trammell of Coppell, daughters, Shelia Boaz of McKenzie, TN, Debbie Sorensen of Rockwall, Angela Lounds of Lansing, MI, brother, Debro Auvenshine of Aiken, SC, John Auvenshine of Eaton Rapids, MI, Roy Auvenshine of Dresden, TN, Donald Auvenshine of Lansing, MI, eight grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father in 2002, son, Craig Anthony Auvenshine and daughter, Sherry Denise Auvenshine.
Visitation will be at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 from 5 to 7 P.M.
