"Doctor Sorrels was my English Teacher in high school. She had such a huge impact on my life and our community. I was looking up where I could write her a letter to express my gratitude when I saw that she had passed away. I'm sorry I couldn't tell you how much you helped me when I needed it. You helped me get jobs that I really needed and you helped me get into college. I will always remember her for how awesome she was. Thank you Doc, I am always thinking of you. <3"

"So many things to be thankful for. You introduced me to beignets and probably the best nachos I've ever eaten in my whole life. Because of you, I have a love for Led Zeppelin and mountain music alike. Your conversations were captivating. Your laughter infectious. Your love deep and true. Thank you for letting me be a part of your family for a little while. I've never forgotten you, and I never will."
