Charlotte Ashton Turner passed away on 27 August after a valiant battle with lung cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Oleta Robinson Ashton. She leaves behind her loving husband of 34 years, Herb Turner Jr. Five children: April Hackney and husband Wade of Cash, Chad Dowdy and wife Tonya of Mineral Wells, Herb Turner III and Kristine Turner of Aubrey, Daniel Turner and fiancée Francesca of Little Rock, AR and Patricia Turner of Piggot, AR. Twenty one grandchildren: Lindsey Greenway and husband Chase, Ethan Hackney, April Hepner and wife Stephanie, Taylor Hepner, Kenny Hepner, Charlotte Hackney, Chase Dowdy and wife Amanda, Amber Knowles and husband Levi, Noah Dowdy and fiancée Dylan, Christian Dowdy, Mark McKinzie, CJ Garza, Kalina Perkins and husband Zane, Harlee Turner, Scarlet Turner, Nolan Turner, Mason Turner, Sophie Turner, Will Vangilder, Randy Vangilder and PJ Turner and four great grandchildren: Tiffany Reif, Nicholas Collinsworth, Cohen Greenway and Cullen Guthrie.
A celebration of her life is scheduled for Saturday, 31 August at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home at 2:00PM. Over the years Charlotte had volunteered for various organizations in Greenville and had requested that donations be made to CASA of Hunt County at casaforhuntcounty.org or Hunt County Shared Ministries (FISH) at HCSMFISH.org in lieu of flowers.
