Cherie Morrison, 70, of Greenville, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019 in Greenville. A graveside service will be 10:00 AM on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Memoryland Memorial Park. Rev. Bob Layman officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Mrs. Morrison was born on April 8, 1949, in Greenville, TX to James Cullen Porter and Nelda Sprinkle Porter. She married Travis Gene Morrison on October 3, 1970 in Greenville, TX. She worked as a teacher and was a member of Floyd Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Greg Morrison of Merit; brother, James Porter of Mesquite; sister, Shelia Petty and husband Terry of Cash; sister-in-law, Priscilla Adams of Caddo Mills; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband in 2013; her parents; brothers, Joe Porter and Rick Porter; brother-in-law Thurman Adams; and sister-in-law Anna Porter.
Pallbearers will be Bart Weston; Jeremy Dicken; Darren Porter; Lee Porter; Colten English; and John Michael Milton.
