Don Armstrong, 83, of Celeste, passed away on January 1, 2019 in Farmersville. A memorial service will be 2 P.M., Saturday, January 5, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Celeste with Dr. James Ralson officiating.
Mr. Armstrong was born July 10, 1935 in Celeste, Texas to Alger Harold Armstrong and Bertha Madolyn Turner. He married Katie Wright in Thackerville, Oklahoma on November 11, 1977. He worked for Proctor and Gamble and Hunt County Sheriff’s Department, was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of Celeste ISD school board for over 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Katie Armstrong; son, Mark Coles and wife, Marci; brother, Doug Armstrong and wife, Frances; sisters, Janie King and husband, Van and Kay Nichols; grandchildren, Shaunna Holt and Miranda Coles and great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Parker, Summer and Andrew.
He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Dewayne Coles.
