Mrs. Harris was born in Fort Scott, Kansas on January 2, 1946, the daughter of John Samuel Culp and Fadelia Elizabeth Wells Culp. Some years later, they moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. She met and married Ronald B. Harris on March 18, 1983 in Garland, Texas. She had four children from a previous marriage and loved having her children and grandchildren in her home and all the chaos it brought with it. She loved traveling and camping with her husband throughout the United States, but especially the Southwest. She loved her dogs, watching birds (especially cardinals), decorating for every season, delighting in trick-or-treaters, sewing doll clothes and quilting, reading good books, and spending time with family and friends. Cheryl, in her business life, served faithfully as the Practice Manager for Dr. Frederick Todd at Arlington Neurosurgical & Spine. Cheryl Jean, one of God’s precious people, was known for her beauty, strength, generosity, creativity, kindness, selflessness, and graciousness to all.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald B. Harris; children, Frank Jr. and Marlinda Cason, Shari and Greg Nelson, Jimmy and Docia Cason, Elizabeth and Dave Hach, Wendy and John Rose, and Heidi and Ron Friedman; sisters, Linda Carpenter and Connie Bell; twenty grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
