Varah Parsley
Varah Geraldine Parsley, 84, of Greenville died the morning of July 21, 2008, at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce. Funeral services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2008 in the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Gerald Hanley officiating. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery in Hamilton, TX at 3:00 p.m..
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m., July 23, 2008 at the funeral home.
Daughter of Raymond and Gertha Gross Riddle, she was born July 13, 1924, in Bivins, Texas. On July 13, 1957, she was married to Harvey C. Parsley in Royse City, TX. Mrs. Parsley was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Ronald and Pam Bowden of Emory, Curtis Duane Bowden of Irving, Michael and Shirley Bowden of Franklin, Tenn., Paul and Viki Parsley of Garland and John and Lorrie Parsley of Nash; a daughter and son-in-law, Valerie Crowe and Henry Bawcum of Garland; stepdaughter Martha Potter of Dallas, 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Her parents, husband and son James Parsley preceded her in death.
