Tommie Jean Cook, 92 of Cooper, died Wednesday, October 3, 2018. Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 7, 2018 in Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Payne officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Cooper. Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cook was born January 13, 1926 in Delta County, Texas. She was the daughter of Walter A. Kern and Ettie Pearl Shaw Kern. She married Clarence L. Cook on March 2, 1946 in Rockwall. She was the office manager at Harvest House Cafeteria in Dallas.
She is survived by her son, Kernie Cook and wife Sue of Garland and sister, Billie J. King and her daughter Dana of Overland Park, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence L. Cook in 1973.
Pallbearers will be JJ Gonzales, JJ Gonzales, Jr., Randy Neal, Gib McCullough, Charlie Vaughn and Landon Davidson.
