Allen L. Wolfe, 84 of Merit died Friday, August 31, 2007 at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Funeral services are at 2 P.M. today at Merit Baptist Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. David Hawkins and Rev. Bob Layman are officiating. Burial is in Merit Cemetery.
Mr. Wolfe was born March 3, 1923 in Cumby, the son of Barney and Lola Chaddick Wolfe. He married Willie Izelle McAnally on October 25, 1947 in Amarille.
Mr. Wolfe was retired from General Motors. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Corps and a member of Merit Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Roger Wolfe of Celeste, David and Cindy Wolfe of Merit, Allen and Lisa Wolfe of Buna, grandchild and wife, Nathan and Teri Wolfe, grandchildren, LeighAnn Wolfe, Bobby Wolfe, Adam Wolfe, Roger Wolfe and Kari Wolfe, and great-grandchildren, Shay and Seth and Ryleigh, Rody and Cooper.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years and parents.
Pallbearers are Nathan Wolfe, Bobby Wolfe, Adam Wolfe, Roger Wolfe, Donnie Blankenship and Zach Bryden
