Gayle Burchett
Gayle Dean Burchett, 81, of Forney, died Saturday, June 30, 2018 in Mesquite. Her funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 5, 2018 in Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tracy Dophied officiating. Interment will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, 10:00 AM until service time.
Mrs. Burchett was born in Terrell, Texas on December 10, 1936. She was the daughter of Arden C. Shields and Winnie Rozell Shields. She married Jimmie Junior Burchett on February 11, 1955 in Greenville. She was a member of Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church in Dallas.
Survivors include her sons, Jamey Burchett and wife, Jana of Terrell and Joel Burchett of Mesquite; grandchildren, Jodi Houston and husband, Mark, Jake Burchett, Joseph Burchett and Marla Burchett; and great-grandchildren, Katie Houston, Brynlee Houston and Ryan Houston. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Jeffrey Dean Burchett; and brother, Alvin Shields.
Pallbearers will be Jake Burchett, Joseph Burchett, Mark Houston, Tony Burchett, Doyle Burchett and Rick Davis.
