Joe David Norfleet

Joe David Norfleet, 63, of Garland, TX, formerly of Greenville, TX, passed away the morning of Friday, July 4, 2008 at his residence.  Services will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville, TX.  Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Monday from 6 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Norfleet was born November 11, 1944, in Greenville, TX to Sammy Joe and Auda Anita Arey Norfleet.  He married Kathy McNew, March 12, 1988 in Carrollton, Texas.  He worked as a musician, lead guitar and lead vocals and was also of the Church of Christ faith.

Survivors include his wife of Garland, son, Clay Norfleet & wife Melissa of Plano; son, Trent Norfleet of Houston; daughter, Kelly Norfleet of Houston; uncle & aunt, Melvin & Betty Norfleet of Mt. Pleasant and uncle Bradford Norfleet of Greenville, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Yvonne Norfleet in 1936.

Pallbearers will include Forest Eubanks, Tommy Galbrieth, Darrell Howard, Clay Norfleet, Trent Norfleet and Ron Vargesko.
