Thora Olivia "Sis" Dicken, 91, of Merit, formerly of Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at 6:20 P.M. at her residence. Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 2:30 P.M. at Merit Cemetery under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dicken was born on May 2, 1916 in Merit to Emmitt Jackson Standifer and Clifford Augusta Robinson. She married William Robert Dicken on June 20, 1936 in Greenville. She aws a seamstress at Haggar Pants Manufacturing Company and a hairdresser at Inez Gray's. She was a member of Park Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Susie Dicken of Merit and Dwayne and Susan Dicken of Merit, ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson, six brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her Grandsons.
