Erma Jean Williams, 83, of Greenville, passed away on February 17, 2018 at the Colonial Lodge. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018 at Highland Terrace Baptist Church with Rev. John Foster officiating. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Erma Jean was born on May 29, 1934 in Clarksville, Texas to Charlie Walter and Maude Francis Hastings Gasway. She married Thomas “Gene” Williams on June 14, 1952 in Clarksville, Texas. She was a seamstress at Henson-Kickernick for many years and a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church. Erma Jean is survived by her husband, Gene Williams; son, Dwayne Williams and wife, Cindy; daughter, Nancy Regina Decker all of Greenville; brother, Dwight Gasway and wife, Carol of Cash; sister, Marie Tippit of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Joshua Decker of Dallas, Naomi Gilbert and husband, Clint, Jennifer Rollins and husband, James, Laura Beene and husband, Adam and Brittany Williams all of Greenville; and 8 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Narvel Loyd Gasway; and son-in-law, James W. Decker. Pallbearers will be Adam Beene, James Rollins, Clint Gilbert, Doyle Hudson, Jason Scott and Curtis Tippit.
