Lou (Nennie) Dale
Loudean Dale, 87, formerly of Greenville, passed away on Feb. 7, 2018 at the South Place Nursing Center of Athens. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb. 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Lou was born on January 3, 1931 in Wood County, Texas to J. R. and Viola Gilliland Dodson. She married Otha B. Dale on April 1, 1948 in Wood County, Texas. Lou and Otha were dedicated members of Southside Church of Christ.
Although Lou and Otha had no children, they were instrumental in raising hundreds of children through the daycare they operated for 30 years in Commerce. After retirement Lou and Otha moved to Greenville. Upon his passing she moved to Athens. She joined Senior Citizens clubs and enjoyed all the people.
She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Trudy Childers, Emalee Beadles; and a brother, Richard Odell Dodson.
