Allen Joe Thomas, 70, of Greenville, passed away on January 10, 2018 at the Hunt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Vaughn & Mr. Bobby Bowers officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Allen was born on February 22, 1947 in Tulia, Texas to B. A. and Violet Ruth Ziegler Thomas. He married Leticia “Tish” Prado on September 14, 1968 in Salinas, CA. He was a veteran serving with the U. S. Navy. Allen worked many years in banking and retired as CEO of Chase Bank.
Allen is survived by his wife, Tish of Greenville; children, Shane Thomas and Shelly of Lone Oak, Jodi Thomas Barker and husband, Ryan of Hermosa Beach, CA; sister, Joyce Wheat and husband, Jodie of Canyon; and grandchildren, Hayden Thomas, Skylar Thomas, Marley Brown and Bronson Barker.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tony Thomas.
