Lillian R. Laney, 90, of Tyler, formerly of Hideaway, Texas, died Monday, February 20, 2017 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. Graveside services will be 3:00 PM, Friday, February 24, 2017 at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville, under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Laney was born in Greenville on June 14, 1926. She was the daughter of William Hughes Rorex and Elizabeth Turner Rorex. She married Otis B. Laney on June 9, 1945, in Greenville.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Kay Laney of Rockford, Illinois; brother, Rusty Rorex of Greenville; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Bicknell; grandchildren, Jennifer Marcel of Granbury and Jason Laney of Providence Village; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Larry Laney.
