H. W. "Sock" Inglish, Jr., 95, of Greenville, died Saturday, May 31, 2008, in Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services will be Monday, June 2, 2008, at 2:00 PM, at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. Bob Bush and Rev. Paul Gould officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday, June 1, 2008, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Mr. Inglish was born in Bonham, Texas on May 26, 1913, the son of H. W. Inglish, Sr. and Eva Yeager Inglish. On May 15, 1948, he married Billie C. Bull in Greenville. He was a retired wholesale distributor for Gulf Oil Company and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Mr. Inglish is survived by his step-daughter, Pat Hockett of San Antonio; granddaughters, Heather Wardon of Austin and Hillary Calderon of San Antonio. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a brother, James Inglish and a sister, Allie Bush.
Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Burns, Larry Butler, Weldon Mays, Tom Oliver, Gary Pickens, and Chuck Smith.
