Rosa Maria Santiago Suarez, 79 of Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M., Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jose Amaya officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 P.M. until service time on Saturday.
Rosa was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on September 13, 1937 to Janacito Santiago and Leonor Suarez. She married Jose Antonio Gonzalez in New York, New York. She was of the Catholic faith and attended Iglesia Bautista Hispana Ridgecrest.
She is survived by her son, Jose Gonzalez of Chicago, Illinois, daughters, Mary Gonzalez of Greenville, Texas, Mariam O’Bryan of Chicago, Illinois and Elsa Gonzalez of Chicago, Illinois, one brother, three sisters, twelve grandchildren and twenty six- great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, Geraldo Gonzalez and brother, Eddie Santiago.
