Daryl Joy Olmsted, 84 of Greenville, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Heritage Twin Oaks Assisted Living in Allen. A memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M., Friday, December 30, 2016 in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Pastor Butch Bruton officiating.
Mr. Olmsted was born in Friend, Nebraska on September 19, 1932 to Franklin Garret Olmsted and Ella Marie Withfot. He married Phyllis Carolyn Melone in Tulsa, Oklahoma on December 18, 1953. He worked for E-Systems as a quality engineer and was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his son, Rick Olmsted of Flower Mound, daughters, Kathy Radford and husband, Bryan of Allen and Kendi Olmsted of Fairview, grandchildren, Jarod A. Garcia and wife, Amanda of Greenville, Courtney L. Radford of Allen and Cara N. Radford of Allen and great-grandchildren, Isabella Rae Garcia and Olivia Mae Garcia of Greenville.
He is preceded in death by his wife and daughter, Karen Olmsted Kinney, parents, brothers, Roland and Wayne Olmsted, and sister, Wanda Kable.
