Dorothy Horrocks
Dorothy June Horrocks, 94, of Garland, died Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Winter Park Nursing Home in Garland. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, May 30, 2016 at Tidwell Cemetery with Rev. Billy Smith officiating, under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, 11:00 AM until service time.
Mrs. Horrocks was born in Greenville on June 15, 1921. She was the daughter of Denny Napolion Bostick and Lelon Rudd Bostick. She married William Henry Horrocks and was a Baptist.
Survivors include her sons, Jere Gist and wife, Barbara of Forsyth, Missouri and Billy Horrocks and wife, Mona of Garland; grandchildren, Billy Ed Horrocks, Jr., April Horrocks, Jason Horrocks, Heather Gist-Rea, Melody Gist-Thomas and Christopher Aaron Gist; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Horrocks and daughter, Gatha Sue Horrocks
