W. L. “Buster” O’Pry, 78, of Celeste passed away May 25, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with hospice chaplain, Robin Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Webb Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
Born March 26, 1938 in Whiterock, Mr. O’Pry was the son of William Bryant O’Pry and Louise (Hamilton) O’Pry. On April 16, 1987, he married Joan Boyles in Garland. Mr. O’Pry worked for Intercontinental Mfg. for 44 years. Mr. O’Pry was a 1955 graduate of Wolfe City High School and then attended U.T. Arlington.
Survivors include his wife, Joan of Celeste; son Kevin Brunson and wife, Tracey of Greenville; daughters Suzanne Cain and husband, Rodney of McKinney and Tammy Tadlock and husband, Brian of Caddo Mills; sisters Sandra Wallace and husband, Jimmy of Whiterock and Cynthia Burrow of Wolfe City; grandchildren April Cain, Erika Parker, Lauren Railey, Ryan Cain, Christopher Cain, Lexi Tadlock, Brandon Tadlock, and Katie Brunson; and great-grandchildren Reese, Camden and Crew Parker and Macager Key.
Mr. O’Pry was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Linda Gayle O’Pry.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Tadlock, Tim Parker, Christopher Cain, Mark Hunter, David Hunter, and Ryan Cain.
