Etta Louise Vanerwegen, 74, of Greenville, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Esequias Perea, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Vanerwegen was born on January 22, 1942 in Colten, Oklahoma, to James Theodore Scully and Margaret Ellis Scully. She married Gary Valjo Vanerwegen on March 6, 1961 in Pawnee, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a member of the Greenville Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by her son, Randall Joe Vanerwegen, daughters, Chevon Kay Vanerwegen and Dawn Rena Wilburn, grandchildren, Brandi Morgan, Beau Morgan, Elizabeth Wilburn, Victoria Wilburn and Isabelle Wilburn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers, Mike and Greg Scully.
Pallbearers are John Mike Scully, Ed Scully, Bryan Nikles, Jesse Hackney, Timothy Roman and Kevin Morgan.
