Ruth Elizabeth Inman, 85, of Greenville, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Medical City Hospital of Dallas.  Funeral services will be Monday March 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Terrace Baptist Church with Rev. Steve O. Payne and Rev. Larry Jordan officiating.  The interment will be on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 11:15 a.m. at the D/FW National Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ruth was born in Oklahoma City, OK on July 15, 1930 to Robert and Alice Claire Knapp Walker.  She married Daniel “Mr. Bob” Inman on September 16, 1950 in Coyle, Oklahoma.  She was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church and retired as a registered nurse after 40 years.

Ruth's greatest passion was her relationship with Jesus Christ.  She loved His Word and lived to serve Him.  She was a prayer warrior for her family, friends, church, and nation.  She was a Barnabas-type encourager, sending hundreds of cards with notes every year to people she loved.  She loved singing in the choir and providing administrative support to the music ministry.  Throughout her life, she invested in the lives of girls and boys and young women and young men, desiring that they, too, would follow her Lord.  Ruth loved people and the people who met her came to love her.

Ruth is survived by her son, Michael Inman and wife, Karen of Shelbyville, TN; daughter, Patty Inman of Bessemer, Alabama; 3 honorary daughters, Mitzi Money, Gail May, Renee Hayes; 2 spiritual sisters, Irene Parsons, Leta Money all of Greenville; and 50 plus honorary grandchildren, great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Pallbearers will be Ben Collins, Daniel Hayes, Jordan May, Brent Money, Jeff Money and Mitchell Money.

Memorials may be made to Highland Terrace Baptist Church, 3939 Joe Ramsey Blvd., Greenville, Texas  75402 or F.A.S.T., P. O. Box 259, Shelbyville, TN 37162.
