Rhonda Kay Eakin, 51 of Celeste, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Cook officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Rhonda was born on September 28, 1964 in Lubbock, Texas to Jimmie Monroe Eakin and Linda Freeman. She worked for McKesson in Greenville as an Accounts Receivable Specialist and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her step-mother, Betty Ann Eakin of Greenville, mother, Linda Freeman Strong of Snyder, Texas, brothers, Norman Lee Eakin of Quinlan, Bobby Dale Eakin and wife, Lora of Greenville, and David Allen Eakin and wife, Tiffany of Greenville, niece, Melissa Strickler of Lone Oak, nephews, Jeremy Eakin of Irving, James Eakin of Volo, Illinois and Cody Eakin of Greenville, and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Pallbearers will be James Eakin, Jeremy Eakin, Cody Eakin, Glenn Spradling, Sawyer Spradling, Jeff Wilburn, Rob Eakin and Jerry Sadler.
