Mr. Lindsey was born in Paris, Texas on August 29, 1945. He was the son of Wilson Wilburn Lindsey and Mary Blanton Jackson Lindsey. He married Marie Green on January 18, 1969 in Commerce. He was retired in logistics in the transportation industry and most recently worked as a cafeteria monitor at Lamar Elementary and a crossing guard at the Sixth Grade Center. He followed the Christian faith as a Methodist.
He was on the committee that formed the Charter for the Boys and Girls club of Hunt County in 1987-88. He remained active with the club until 1994. He has stayed in contact with the young men he coached in little league baseball from ages 12 to 16. Tim’s and Marie’s lives touched so many others over the years, and he had a boundless love and tremendous respect for all of their “adopted” children.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Lindsey of Greenville; a son, T. J. Lindsey of Burbank, California; brother, Mike Lindsey of Venice, Texas; sister, Rena Larkey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and technicians at Hunt Regional Medical Center for the personal care they provided for Tim.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the charity of the givers choice.
