Rachel Freeman
Rachel Freeman, 97 of Greenville, died Sunday, February 28, 2016 at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Charlie Jones and Glenn Schumann officiating. Interment will be in Forest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Freeman was born in Greenville on May 2, 1918. She was the daughter of Sam Turner and Nancy Levacy Turner. She married Elbert Freeman on November 22, 1941 in Greenville. She retired in 1981 from Haggar Pant Company after 40 years of service. She was a member of Lamar Baptist Church now, Family Fellowship for 64 years.
Survivors include her brother, Raymond Turner and wife, Sherry of Greenville; sisters, Jane Jones and husband, C. E. of Rockwall and Mary Ellen (Trixie) Williams of Greenville; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Arthur Turner, Ted Turner and Gerald Turner; and sisters, Laura Foley, Louise Butler and Betty Hickman.
Pallbearers will be Mike Williams, Matt Williams, Todd Turner, Dwayne Schumann, Jake Schumann, C. J. Schumann and Matt Schumann. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Ellis, Floyd Voss and Larry Middlebrooks.
