Stanley Henderson
Stanley Ray Henderson, 68, of Quinlan, passed away on February 20, 2016 at the Mesquite Specialty Hospital. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, February 27th at 2:00 p.m. at The Oasis in Lake Tawakoni. A reception will follow the service.
Arrangements are handled with Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Stanley was born in Greenville, Texas on January 12, 1948 to Bill and Lucy Stevens Henderson. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1968. He married Mary Claire Weldon on July 31, 1970 in Durant, Oklahoma. He was a longtime owner of a wrecking/salvage yard in Hunt County and retired in 1993. After his retirement, he and his family moved to Quinlan, where the family now resides. Stanley enjoyed team roping, golf, motorcycles, racecars and fishing with his friends and family.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Mary Henderson of Quinlan; son, Billy Henderson of Quinlan; daughter, Melinda Pace and husband, Joel of Dike; brother, Steve Henderson and wife, Kate of Sarasota, Florida; daughter-in-law, Holi Day Henderson of Greenville; grandchildren, Colby Pace, Ashley Pace, Jessa Henderson, Copper Henderson; and nephew, Chris Henderson of Lewisville.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
